Heavy Bus Driver

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy buses safely and efficiently according to assigned routes or schedules
• Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations
• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers during transit
• Follow traffic rules, company policies, and road safety regulations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Report mechanical issues, accidents, or delays promptly
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the bus
• Assist passengers, including elderly or disabled individuals, when required
• Collect fares or verify tickets if applicable
• Maintain accurate trip logs and records

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Valid Heavy Vehicle or Bus Driving License
• Proven experience as a heavy bus driver
• Good knowledge of traffic laws and road safety regulations
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Physically fit with good vision and hearing
• Clean driving record

Preferred Skills:

• Defensive driving skills
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
• Ability to handle emergencies calmly
• Knowledge of local routes and geography

Working Conditions:

• Long hours of driving
• Exposure to traffic, weather conditions, and varying schedules
