Heavy Bus Driver

A Heavy Bus Driver safely operates large vehicles to transport passengers or staff, adhering to strict schedules and traffic regulations. Key duties include conducting pre-trip inspections, ensuring passenger safety, maintaining cleanliness, and reporting vehicle maintenance needs. A valid commercial license, proven driving experience, and strong knowledge of traffic laws are essential.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Safe Operation: Driving heavy buses safely and professionally along assigned routes and schedules.
• Vehicle Inspections: Performing daily inspections (pre- and post-trip) for mechanical issues, fuel, and cleanliness.
• Passenger Management: Safely loading/unloading passengers.
• Route Compliance: Adhering to strict timetables and navigating designated routes, often avoiding traffic delays.
• Compliance & Safety: Obeying all traffic laws, company policies, and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations.
• Documentation: Maintaining accurate records, including fuel consumption, mileage, and incident reports.

Requirements and Qualifications

• License: A valid heavy and light bus driver’s license. (UAE)
• Experience: Generally 5 years of experience operating heavy-duty vehicles.
• Skills: Strong defensive driving skills, mechanical aptitude, and good communication skills.
• Reliability: Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts.
