Heavy Commercial Vehicle Power Supply Engineer

Design and release activities of the vehicle Low Voltage power supply components (Battery, Starter, Alternator, Inverter, DC/DC Converter etc.)

PDL, program assumptions is in-line with commodity business plans, global modular catalogues and E/E architecture

Optimizing cost and TFLE to develop commodities which will meet customer expectation and product timing
-
Receiving all X-Carline information, carline history, platform strategy, modular catalogues, are in place and involving/conducting benchmark studies for optimum design strategy of the commodities

Assessing requirements, regulations, DVPs, quality documents of his/her commodities, and commodity, subsystem, system sign-off through these assessments. Where needed, escalates/informs deviations in-line with customer expectations and legal requirements.

Closely follows regulations, homologation standards and norms (ECE; FMVSS;ISO; DIN; regulations...etc.) that he/she responsible for to make sure that all designs are made in accordance with these regulations, norms and standards

Cascade Component/Subsystem deliverables to supplier. Direct supplier on requirements from systems and subsystems.

Support change control for programs, as required utilizing Design Change Requests (DCR) and Supplier Request for Engineering Approval (SREA)

Supplier selection (SOBA, CPA etc.) of his/her commodities by sharing RFQ, 1st EC, 2nd EC...etc. on time and completing all the To4 activities, technical assessments for the given quotations.

Review and concur on Worldwide Engineering Release System (WERS) concerns and notices initiated by Supplier or Ford.

Develop and approve component, subsystem, system DFMA with Supplier and Ford core team, review potential critical and significant characteristics defined by supplier with STA and create SCCAF

Review PPAP package, results from PV tests, and complete functional verification. Where needed visit supplier to perform on site evaluation.

Support prototype build locations for table lay outs, sign off YB/BB/Vehicle for the commodities he/she is responsible for and support launch at vehicle assembly plants if required.
Experience
-
Basic knowledge for power electronics and electronic components and circuit analysis.

Basic knowledge for LIN, CAN, Ethernet communication.

Background on development and application of power supply components

Familiarity with power supply component technical drawings and MS Office Applications

Advanced level of English, written and verbal communication skills
Education
- B.Sc. degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Material Engineering
