Job Purpose

To safely operate heavy vehicles and transport construction materials, equipment, and personnel to and from project sites in compliance with UAE traffic laws, company safety policies, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Vehicle Operation

• Operate heavy vehicles such as trailers, low-bed trucks, boom trucks, water tankers, or tipper trucks.
• Transport construction materials, machinery, and equipment safely to designated locations.
• Ensure safe loading and unloading in coordination with site supervisors and riggers.
• Secure cargo properly to prevent damage or accidents during transit.

2. Compliance & Safety

• Comply with UAE traffic regulations and road safety laws issued by relevant authorities such as the Ministry of Interior and local transport departments.
• Follow KCG and main contractor HSE policies and procedures.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety inductions, and defensive driving training.
• Immediately report accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle damage to the supervisor.

3. Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections (brakes, tires, lights, oil, coolant, etc.).
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure it remains in proper working condition.
• Report mechanical faults to the transport coordinator promptly.
• Maintain vehicle logbook, trip sheets, and fuel records accurately.

4. Documentation

• Ensure valid UAE Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
• Carry and maintain valid vehicle registration (Mulkiya), insurance, and permits.
• Keep gate passes and delivery notes for site entry/exit.

5. Site Coordination

• Coordinate with site engineers, storekeepers, and logistics personnel.
• Follow project-specific delivery schedules and access requirements.
• Assist with basic manual tasks when required (if permitted under contract terms).

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid UAE Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
• Minimum 3–5 years of heavy driving experience in UAE construction projects.
• Good knowledge of UAE roads and construction site safety standards.
• Basic communication skills in English (Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is an advantage).
• Physically fit and medically cleared for heavy vehicle operations.
