Heavy Driver

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Heavy Driver to operate heavy vehicles including trucks, trailers, lowbeds, tankers, and other commercial vehicles for transporting materials, equipment, or personnel to and from project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy vehicles such as dump trucks, flatbed trucks, lowbed trailers, water tankers, and fuel bowsers
• Transport construction materials, heavy equipment, or personnel to designated sites safely and on time
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle including tires, brakes, lights, fluids, and couplings
• Ensure loads are properly secured and within legal weight limits
• Follow assigned routes and schedules as directed by transport supervisor
• Adhere to all traffic laws, speed limits, and company safety policies
• Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery notes, and trip records
• Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or incidents immediately to supervisor
• Assist with loading and unloading of materials when required
• Keep vehicle clean and in good working condition
• Coordinate with site supervisors for safe entry and exit at project locations
• Operate vehicles on unpaved roads, construction sites, or marine yards as required
• Follow safety protocols including use of seatbelt, reversing alarms, and spotter assistance
