Heavy Equipment Class A Truck Driver

As a Class A CDL driver, you will deliver and recover a variety of equipment, tools and supplies to and from the customer worksite. This role will generally drive a Class A truck hauling equipment on a flatbed (dovetail) or RGN (lowboy) trailer in a variety of conditions, including urban, suburban, rural settings. Ability to drive safely in tight settings such as construction zones is required. Ability to communicate instructions for operation of equipment to customers and complete proper paperwork (contracts, BOL’s, shippers, and trucking logs).

Other Requirements:

• Education High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid Driver’s license with CDL License and acceptable driver's record
• Prior training and/or experience with similar commercial equipment preferred
• Experience driving flat-beds, RGN/lowboy, dovetail trailers
• Ability to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to equipment and vehicle at job sites
• Customer service attitude

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• - Routine tasks often require lifting 50–75 lbs (e.g., tarping, chaining tires,cargo) and pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs. Must be able to bend, Kneel, and squat to secure chains, straps and tarps, routinely through-out the day.
• Must have significant strength and range of motion to operate clutch pedals, brakes and accelerators efficiently for long periods of time.
• Must be able to climb up and down multiple times a day from the truck, cab, trailer and equipment.
• Must be able to crawl under the vehicle for pre-trip inspections and crawl on and around to secure equipment and loads to trailer.
• Must Comply with any & all DOT Med Exam and random testing as required.

Must Pass Preemployment and random DOT drug and alcohol screening

Pay based on experience

Pay: $78,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
