Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of our heavy equipment and truck fleet to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our fleet operational, minimize downtime, and support our commitment to excellence in equipment management. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, suspension systems, and air brake systems on heavy equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment including excavators, dozers, skid-steer and fleet trucks.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire service, wheel alignments, and fluid inspections.
• Use OEM schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Fabricate or modify components using power tools, welding equipment, and hand tools.
• Safely operate heavy machinery during diagnostics and repair procedures.
• Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs.
• Communicate repair updates and equipment recommendations clearly with team members.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic in a service shop, dealership, or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, suspension, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and service manuals.
• Familiarity with OEM parts and manufacturer specifications (Caterpillar or similar brands preferred).
• Proficiency using diagnostic equipment, power tools, and heavy equipment safely.
• Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
