Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision at every stage. Your expertise will help drive project success while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, articulated trucks, and other machinery to perform excavation, grading, sewer and utility installation
• Safely operate machinery and conduct routine inspections of machinery before and after use to ensure proper functioning and identify maintenance needs
• Follow safety protocols and construction site procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations
• Maintain accurate records of equipment operation hours and maintenance logs

Skills

• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and articulated trucks
• Some mechanical knowledge of construction machinery for troubleshooting and minor repairs
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation to work
• Familiarity with construction site safety standards and protocols
• Ability to read technical manuals and interpret operational instructions clearly
• Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork on busy construction sites

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
