Heavy Equipment Operator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various types of heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed safely and efficiently. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

· Operate heavy equipment including skid loaders, various sized excavators, backhoe, finish dozer, asphalt and concrete paver, laser screed, curb machine, asphalt and base rollers, milling machine.

· Perform daily routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.

· Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate tasks and ensure safety protocols are followed.

· Ability to check your own grade.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.

· Drivers license is prefer but not mandatory.

Experience

· Proven experience operating heavy machinery.

· Familiarity with construction site operations and safety standards.

· General understanding of elevations.

· GPS and or total station experience is preferred but not mandatory.

· Commercial driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory.

· Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance on equipment.

· Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing job site environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
