Heavy Equipment Operator (Civil Construction)

Job Summary
Garibay Siteworks is a growing civil construction company based in Manhattan, Kansas. We’re looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator who takes pride in doing quality work and wants steady, year-round local projects.

Listed pay is starting pay with higher pay based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, skid steers, loaders, and other machinery
• Perform site prep, grading, trenching, and utility work
• Read grade stakes and follow project plans
• Maintain equipment and perform daily inspections
• Work closely with crew members to complete projects efficiently and safely

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment on active construction sites.
• Read grade stakes and follow project plans - with or without GPS
• Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Valid driver’s license with experience driving trucks such as front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, and tanker vehicles. CDL is a plus, but not required.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and practices.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
