1. JOB DETAILS:

2. JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy machinery used in Al Awalia’s operations

4. KEY DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:


Operational:

  • Adherence to quality, health & Safety, Information security and business continuity policies.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and emergency repairs on a variety of heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and other machinery.
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Inspect equipment to assess the condition, identify wear and tear, and detect potential issues.
  • Test repaired or serviced machinery to verify that it meets performance standards and safety requirements.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues with heavy machinery.
  • Stay informed about the latest technologies, repair techniques, and industry best practices to enhance skills and performance.
  • Manage and organize tools, parts, and materials required for maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary equipment and parts, coordinating with procurement for replenishment as needed.
  • Participate in training and development programs to improve technical skills and stay current with advancements in the field.
  • Collaborate with other workshop staff and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and support operational needs.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties relevant to the role as assigned by the line manager as per business requirements.

7. PROFILE: QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • High school Diploma in any relevant discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of similar experience is preferred.
  • Good command of English language.


Functional Competencies:

  • Wide knowledge and skills in repairing different kinds of Air-Conditioning and Heating System
  • Good knowledge of trouble shooting
  • Wide knowledge in package and split and window type AC installation.
  • Good knowledge of electrical spare parts and equipment
  • Good knowledge of advanced tools such as computerized test equipment, welding torches and hydraulic and refilling equipment
  • Good manual dexterity, including the ability to make precise finger movements and the ability to keep their arms and hands steady
  • Good understanding of Qatar and GCC business environment
