Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Mechanic (Diesel / Petrol) with strong GCC exposure to join our operations in Oman. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in heavy vehicles and equipment (diesel & petrol engines).
• Perform preventive maintenance, overhauls, and major/minor repairs.
• Inspect engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, suspension, and fuel systems.
• Troubleshoot faults using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
• Replace or repair defective parts and components efficiently.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with supervisors and operations teams to prioritize repairs and reduce downtime.
• Support breakdown recovery and emergency repairs when required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent certification.
• 5–7 years of hands-on experience as a Heavy Mechanic in the GCC.
• Strong knowledge of diesel and petrol engines used in heavy vehicles/equipment.
• Experience with construction machinery, trucks, buses, or similar heavy assets.
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and diagnostic reports.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to relocate to Oman.
• Basic English communication skills (Arabic is an advantage).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with brands such as Caterpillar, Volvo, Komatsu, MAN, Mercedes, Scania, etc.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and workshop best practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure.
