What you’ll do

• Safely operate various types of commercial vehicles, including box trucks, tractor-trailers, and buses, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload freight or passengers with care, ensuring all items are secured for transport.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and performance standards.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate routes and schedules.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients during deliveries or shuttle services.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur on the road.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues and ensure optimal performance during operations.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (CDL preferred).
• Familiarity with various driving environments including route driving, shuttle driving, and paratransit services.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
• Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles confidently.
• Previous warehouse experience or heavy haul operations will enhance your candidacy.
