Heavy Vehicle Driver

The Heavy Vehicle Driver is responsible for operating heavy-duty vehicles such as trucks, trailers, tankers, or buses to transport goods or materials safely and efficiently. The role requires strict adherence to traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy vehicles safely and responsibly.
  • Transport goods/materials to designated locations on time.
  • Inspect vehicles before and after trips (fuel, oil, tires, brakes, lights, etc.).
  • Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and logbooks.
  • Follow all traffic rules and safety regulations.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, or delays immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned vehicle.
  • Coordinate with dispatch/operations team for schedules and routes.

Requirements:

  • Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License (as per local regulations).
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience driving heavy vehicles.
  • Good knowledge of road safety regulations and routes.
  • Ability to handle long-distance driving if required.
  • Physically fit and able to handle loading/unloading when necessary.
  • Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance.
