Help Desk Intern

- Perform assignments as identified by assigned internship mentor.
- Attend team meetings within the assigned functional area.
- Develop and execute processes and procedures, alleviating challenges within the functional area.
- Respond to help desk tickets and provide timely resolutions to user issues via phone, email, or in-person support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software, and network connectivity problems.
- Assist in setting up and configuring computers, peripherals, and user accounts.
- Document all support activities, solutions, and processes in the help desk system.
- Support basic maintenance of IT systems, including software updates and backups.
- Assist with IT inventory management and documentation.
- Other relevant tasks as assigned.
- Must be enrolled as a degree seeking student at an accredited college.
- Preferred degrees are Information Technology, Computer Science or other closely related fields.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and operating systems (e.g., Windows).
- Familiarity with common applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, Wi-Fi) is preferred.
- Motivated self-starter with desire to learn, and ability to work independently and with a team.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
