Help Desk Specialist

The Help Desk Specialist will provide essential skills, dependability, and continuous improvement to the core Windows server operations. In addition, the focus will be to maintain and enhance all servers and networking components ensuring uninterrupted availability and performance. Position requires occasional on-site presence.


Responsibilities:


· Troubleshoot, install, upgrade, and maintain multiple Windows server environments.

· Maintenance, system builds, configuration, and patching on server OS, software, and network

· Continually enhance knowledge of IT standards to suggest updates for ongoing improvement

· Perform troubleshooting, escalations and resolve incidents and problems when detected

· Manage the load configuration changes, software updates and patches before deploying to production

· Maintain and repair hardware and peripheral devices

· Organize, schedule, and ensure upgrades or maintenance without disruption to the business

· Provide on site and remote support as escalation point for helpdesk team

· Create procedural/how to documentation

· On call duties as assigned


Requirements:


· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences/related field or 8 years’ relevant experience

o Windows 10 Operating System

o Microsoft Office 365 Suite

o Microsoft Active Directory and GPO

o Networking fundamentals, including wireless internet access point

o VMWare and /or CITRIX

· Able to work independently without direct supervision in a collaborative team environment

· Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities to accomplish multiple objectives

· Analytical mindset that sees opportunities for improvement and then applies new technology to existing environment
