Helper – Demobilization Project (Oman)

Overview

Prismecs is seeking a reliable and hands-on Helper – Demobilization Project (Oman) to support plant operations, maintenance, and shutdown activities across the site.

This role is project-based (estimated 2–4 months) and we are hiring locally within Oman for immediate mobilization .

The Helper will assist multiple teams including Maintenance, Electrical, and Operations during dismantling and demobilization activities. This role requires flexibility, basic technical knowledge, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety, Environment & Compliance (HSE)

• Follow all HSE policies, procedures, and site safety rules
• Support safe work practices and report hazards or unsafe conditions
• Collaborate with HSE team and follow all safety instructions
• Ensure proper use of PPE and tools at all times

Shutdown & Demobilization Support

• Assist teams during plant shutdown and dismantling activities
• Support removal, handling, and organization of equipment and materials
• Assist with equipment cleaning, preparation, and storage
• Support tagging, tracking, and movement of dismantled components
• Provide general support to Electrical, Mechanical, and Operations teams

Maintenance & Operations Support

• Assist with preventive and routine maintenance activities
• Support fuel systems, pumps, filters, tanks, and auxiliary equipment
• Assist with fluid testing and equipment checks
• Support updating maintenance logs and reports
• Assist with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities

Inventory & Tools Support

• Assist in tools and spare parts inventory audits
• Ensure proper use and care of tools and equipment
• Support tracking of consumables and materials
• Assist in identifying required parts and materials

General Duties & Site Support

• Perform housekeeping and site cleaning duties
• Support daily reporting and assigned tasks
• Assist with translation (if applicable – German is a plus)
• Support multiple teams to meet operational goals
• Be available for emergency support when required

Qualifications

Required:

• Technical school degree or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial, plant, or similar environments
• Basic understanding of maintenance and plant equipment
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
• English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking)
• Ability to work rotating shifts
• Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)

Additional Requirements

• Must be currently based in Oman (local hiring only)
• Available for immediate start
• Available for project duration (2–4 months)

Preferred

• Experience in power plants or industrial facilities
• Experience supporting shutdown or demobilization projects
• Basic HSE knowledge and awareness
• German language skills (a plus)
