HELPER / GENERAL HELPER - CONSTRUCTIONS.

Job Title: Construction Helper

Job Summary:

The Construction Helper supports skilled workers such as masons, carpenters, steel fixers, electricians, plumbers, and other site teams in daily construction activities on high-rise building projects. The role includes material handling, site cleaning, assisting with tools and equipment, and maintaining safe and organized work areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist skilled workers in construction tasks including masonry, shuttering, steel fixing, tiling, plastering, and finishing works
• Load, unload, and transport construction materials such as cement, blocks, steel, tiles, sand, and tools to designated work areas
• Prepare and mix construction materials such as cement, mortar, and concrete as instructed
• Clean work areas, remove debris, and maintain housekeeping standards on site
• Support material shifting between floors using lifts, hoists, or manual handling methods
• Arrange and organize tools, materials, and equipment for daily site activities
• Assist in scaffolding material movement and site setup where required
• Follow instructions from supervisors, foremen, and skilled workers
• Perform general labor duties as assigned by site management
• Report damaged tools, unsafe conditions, or shortages to supervisors

Safety Responsibilities:

• Follow all site HSE rules, procedures, and safety instructions
• Wear PPE at all times including helmet, gloves, safety shoes, reflective vest, and goggles where required
• Follow manual handling and lifting safety procedures
• Comply with working-at-height safety requirements when assigned to upper floors
• Keep walkways, staircases, and work areas clear from obstructions

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Basic understanding of construction site activities
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
• Physical fitness and stamina for manual labor
• Ability to carry materials and work long hours in site conditions
• Teamwork and discipline
• Basic awareness of construction safety practices

Experience Requirements:

• 1–3 years experience as Construction Helper or General Laborer preferred
• Experience in high-rise building projects is an advantage
• UAE/GCC experience preferred but not mandatory
