Helper Painter

We are looking for a Helper Painter to support our Maintenance Department in carrying out painting and minor repair tasks across the hospital premises. This is a short-term role, ideal for individuals with basic experience in painting work who can assist senior painters and ensure smooth upkeep of facility standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist senior painter in preparing surfaces (cleaning, sanding, filling cracks/holes).
• Help with applying paint, primer, and coatings as instructed.
• Carry out basic touch-ups on walls, doors, and hospital areas.
• Maintain painting tools, brushes, rollers, and equipment in good condition.
• Ensure cleanliness of assigned work areas after completion.
• Follow hospital safety protocols and infection control procedures.
• Support general maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Minimum Matric or equivalent qualification.
• Basic knowledge of painting tools, materials, and techniques.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks.
• Previous experience in painting (preferred but not mandatory).
• Willingness to work in a hospital environment.
