Redefine Hematology Care: Join Our Team at Rochester General Hospital
At Rochester Regional Health (RRH), our purpose is clear: to uplift humanity through care for our community. Every day, our physicians bring this purpose to life—delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while driving innovation and collaboration across our integrated system.
We are seeking a Hematologist to join our growing team at Rochester General Hospital, our flagship tertiary care center. Whether you are dual-boarded in Hematology/Oncology or fellowship-trained and Hematology-boarded only, this role offers an opportunity to focus primarily on Classical (Benign) Hematology while supporting the continuum of Malignant Hematology care.
This isn’t just a job—it’s a chance to be part of a system that empowers you to embrace tomorrow, today by shaping the future of hematologic care in Western New York.
Why Hematologists Thrive Here
Purposeful Practice:
You’ll care for patients across a full spectrum of hematologic conditions—from leukemias and lymphomas to clotting disorders and hemophilia—balancing inpatient and outpatient work (approximately 75% outpatient / 25% inpatient) to support continuity and meaningful patient relationships.
Collaborative Culture:
Our multidisciplinary teams include Hem/Onc physicians, advanced practice providers, pathologists, pharmacists, and nurse navigators—united by our shared value to serve as one and deliver coordinated, comprehensive care.
Integrated Excellence:
Work within RRH’s system of six regional cancer centers and a dedicated Hemophilia Center, all supported by advanced facilities like the Sands-Constellation Center for Critical Care, featuring private HEPA-filtrated rooms for acute hematologic care.
Commitment to Growth:
Contribute to teaching and mentorship for residents and fellows, participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives, and gain access to system-level resources that foster professional development and discovery.
Balanced Schedule:
Enjoy a schedule that promotes both impact and sustainability—with one week of call per month shared among team members, covering both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
