Herd Manager

Baladna is looking for an experienced Herd Manager to oversee the health, productivity, and welfare of our dairy herd. The role involves managing daily herd operations, breeding programs, animal health, staff supervision, and overall herd performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee feeding, milking, breeding, and calving operations
• Monitor herd health and coordinate veterinary care
• Maintain accurate herd records and production data
• Lead and train livestock staff to ensure animal welfare and safety
• Collaborate with nutrition and farm teams to optimize herd performance
• Ensure compliance with welfare, biosecurity, and farm standards

Requirement

• Bachelor’s in Veterinary Science, Dairy Science, or related field
• 8+ years of experience, including 5 years in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of herd management, breeding, and dairy operations
• Experience with herd management systems; SAP ERP preferred
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and team management skills
