Hormel Foods has an opening for an experienced Industrial Refrigeration/Boiler Technician. Successful candidates will work in our food processing production facility located in Tucker, GA, and enjoy competitive wages along with a comprehensive benefits package.
Job Responsibilities

This position will perform preventative maintenance on assigned refrigeration boiler and compressed air systems (Freon, ammonia/other office related refrigerants, CO2 and steam)

Install, modify, and repair industrial refrigeration systems and electrical controls

Train refrigeration operators in corrective maintenance, dismantle malfunctioning systems and test components using electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems

Practice safe handling of ammonia and steam in its liquid and gas state

Maintain and update Emergency SOP
Minimum Qualifications
-
Technical school diploma in Refrigeration or other Electro/Mechanical Field or 2 years of documented experience in the above the fields

CARO (certified assistant refrigeration operator license)

Ability to demonstrate skills in plumbing, welding, electrical and mechanical trouble shooting

Ability to be on the Emergency Response HAZMAT Team

Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision

Physical: No restrictions prohibiting bending, twisting, climbing up to 30 feet and lifting up to 50 pounds or more

Ability to wear a SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus) and level A HAZMAT suit

Preferred Qualifications

Three years' experience in Industrial Refrigeration Operations

CIRO (certified industrial refrigeration operator license)

Boiler license of 3 yrs. experience in High Pressure Boilers

Freon Certified
Wages:

$34.45/hour & yearly raise

OT is earned on a daily and weekly basis
