Reporting To: Transport Manager
Based: Needingworth, Essex (Start and finish daily from Needingworth yard)

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
· Carry out deliveries in a timely and safe manner and provide excellent customer service.
o Ensure you have received your work schedule via electronic device/transport manager.
o Collecting muck from sites
o Delivering aggregates
o Communicating with customers and handling customer issues effectively
o Supervise the loading of the vehicle so that products are safely encumbered and secure to minimise chances of damage.
o Ensure that on arrival the delivery is safe to execute and respect customer’s property; if in doubt, consult with customer and/or Transport Manager/ Batcher
o Check goods off with Customers and obtain signature and print. If any errors mark ticket accordingly and consult with transport manager
· Daily Vehicle Inspections to be carried out prior to driving
o Maintain condition of the vehicle and ensure that it is not subjected to unnecessary damage both externally and inside the drum.
o Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
· Health & Safety
o Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law.
o Drive within the tachograph law and driver hours limits.
o Comply with fuel directives from the Transport Manager
o Report any accidents in compliance with the company’s accident reporting procedure
o PPE to be worn around the site
o Comply with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policy, highlighting any issues appropriately.
· Other
o Perform other duties as directed
QUALIFICATIONS
· Driving Licence
· Class 1 HGV Licence and Driver Qualification Card
· Have a digital-tacho card and driver CPC

· Strong communication skills - Ability to work with individuals across departments and liaise with external customers and contacts
· Solid Vehicle Maintenance Skills including basic repairs
· Effective Time Management Skills

EXPERIENCE
· Have minimum 2 years driving experience
· Concrete/Quarry environment
HOURS
· Day shift - 06:30 to 16:30 approx – 8 Hr Min 06.30 to 15.15
· Monday to Friday
