HGV Class 1 Driver - Port Clarence - 4 On 4 Off shift pattern

(OVERTIME PAID AT £26.35 PER HOUR & NIGHTS OUT PAID AT £40.00 PER OCCASION)

ICL are leaders in the Industry and key suppliers to many of the UK’s leading Water Treatment Companies and other industries.

We are currently recruiting for Class 1 ADR Tanker Drivers working from our Newcastle Operating Centre.

Key Qualifications Required for the role:

· Class 1 ( Cat CE Vocational Licence )

· ADR in Tanks to cover min Class 8 & 9

· Driver CPC Vocational Qualification

Key Requirements of a Driver:

· Excellent driving skills

· Health & Safety minded

· Professional with high standards

· Fully conversant with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive Rules

· Flexible can-do attitude

The Role:

· Delivering hazardous chemicals in tankers throughout the UK

· Compressor discharge, as well as pump draw off at certain customers

· Working a 4 On, 4 Off shift pattern ( + Overtime shifts )

· Nights out are a fundamental part of this role (paid at £40 per night out which is taxable) and are contracted as “as and when required” by the Company (anything from 0-5 nights out per week)

The Training:

· Full 2 – 3 weeks comprehensive training package carried out alongside an experienced Driver Trainer, followed by a final “ pass out “ with a Senior Assessor

· Refresher Training on Day 1 with Keep Legal, Drivers Hours, First Use Inspections and Company O Licencing

· Full Company induction to include all PPE requirements and site procedures/ protocol

· On-going regular assessments and re-training

The Salary Package (with regular reviews):

· Annual Gross Salary (Paid Weekly) = £46,562.88 ( Overtime is paid for non-working days only)

· Overtime Paid for weekend shifts at £26.35 per hour for all hours worked ( including Breaks )

· Nights-Out Paid at £40 per night out

· Potential earnings in excess of £60,000 pa

· Holiday entitlement pro-rata to 17.5 days per annum + Bank Holidays ( if shifted to work on BH, a day in lieu elsewhere )
