HGV Class 1 Driver

Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely across designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and experience in commercial transportation, particularly within flatbed operations. Responsibilities

• Operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles in compliance with road safety regulations and company policies
• Deliver goods to various locations, ensuring accurate and timely drop-offs
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any faults or issues
• Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules, delays, or issues during transit
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety standards at all times

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed vehicles or in commercial driving roles
• Strong driving skills with a clean driving record
• Knowledge of road regulations and safety procedures within the UK
• Excellent organisational skills to manage routes efficiently and meet delivery deadlines
• Ability to handle physical tasks associated with securing cargo and inspecting vehicles
• Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
• Ability to work independently, demonstrating responsibility and punctuality
