HGV Class 1 Driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and professionalism, as well as the ability to manage various driving tasks, including flatbed deliveries.

Responsibilities
- Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, following all road safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is secured properly for transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to transportation and safety.

Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid HGV licence.
- Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is highly desirable.
- Strong navigation skills and knowledge of local routes.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
