HGV Class 1 Driver

This full-time role involves transporting live birds from farm to factory, ensuring their welfare and compliance with all legal and safety standards.

• Transport live poultry safely and efficiently while maintaining high welfare standards.
• Fulfill all legal, procedural, and health & safety obligations, including accurate documentation and defect reporting.
• Ensure vehicle cleanliness, hygiene, and bio-security measures are upheld.
• Operate forklifts for loading/unloading where applicable, and adhere to road transport laws and internal policies.
• Report incidents, malpractices, or unsafe acts promptly to supervisors.
• Maintain vehicle and trailer standards, including washing and shunting as needed.
• Attend training, medical checks, and comply with licensing and working hour requirements, including flexibility for varied schedules.
  
  

Essential skills include a valid driving license, Driver CPC, HGV Class 1 license, and experience driving for at least 2 years.
