HGV Class 1 Driver

A Hingley Transport Ltd are looking for reliable and professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our team operating across Wolverhampton, Dudley and Kidderminster.

This role involves transporting steel products including coils, sheet and plate, and slit coil, using modern Slidaflex trailers designed for safe and efficient loading and unloading.

Full training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for drivers looking to gain experience in steel haulage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Safe and timely delivery of steel loads to customer sites
• Securing loads (coils, sheet and plate) using straps and approved methods
• Completing delivery paperwork and PODs
• Complying with driver hours, WTD and road safety regulations
• Representing the company in a professional manner

What the job involves:

• Mix of local and distance work
• Day and night shifts available
• Curtainsider work using Slidaflex trailers
• Purpose-built equipment for steel transport
• Training provided on steel loading and load security
• Pre-planned routes with no last-minute changes
• Clean, well-maintained vehicles
