HGV Class 1 Driver

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, Particulary in container workand a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the timely delivery of goods while ensuring compliance with all transport regulations. This role is crucial in maintaining our high standards of service and customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Operate lorries for the transportation of goods to various locations.
• Ensure the safe loading and unloading , securing it properly for transit.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel use, and any incidents that occur during transport.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Assist with route planning to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV driving licence (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Experience as a delivery driver, preferably with container work.
• Strong understanding of transport regulations and safety protocols.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
