HGV Class 1 Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. Responsibilities

• Operate tractor units in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
• Plan routes effectively to ensure timely delivery of goods to multiple destinations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Adhere to all legal requirements related to driving hours, weight limits, and safety standards
• Communicate professionally with dispatch teams and clients regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays
• Ensure the security of cargo throughout transit

Qualifications

• Valid HGV driving licence (Class CE) and valid CPC Qualification including a valid tacho card
• Proven experience as a HGV Class 1 driver but willing to consider new pass for the ideal candidate
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively on busy schedules
• Ability to operate vehicles safely over long distances and in various weather conditions
• Good communication skills, for effective coordination with team members and clients

This is a tramping role, working 5 out of 7 days. The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to work, with ability to work on own initiative in a fast paced role.
