HGV Class 1 Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Tipper Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various locations. Duties

• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, including flatbed lorries, in compliance with legal and company standards
• Conduct pre-journey safety checks and ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition before departure
• Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to legal driving hours
• Load and unload goods safely, ensuring proper securing of cargo on flatbeds
• Deliver goods to specified locations, providing excellent customer service during each interaction
• Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and mileage logs
• Maintain communication with the logistics team regarding delivery progress or any issues encountered during transit
• Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record
• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with Tipper lorries and delivery operations
• Knowledge of road regulations and best practices for safe driving and cargo securing
• Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and punctuality
• Ability to undertake manual handling tasks related to loading and unloading cargo
• Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively
• Strong communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers and colleagues
