HGV Class 1 Driver

Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent vehicle standards. Experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed trailer, is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate artics and other commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
• Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to road safety regulations.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in optimal condition.
• Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transit and comply with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and health and safety regulations during every journey.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods when required, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.

Requirements

• Valid driving licence suitable for commercial vehicle operation, with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role, preferably with flatbed vehicles.
• Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for secure load handling.
• Ability to operate flatbed trucks confidently and safely across diverse routes and weather conditions.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with dispatch teams and clients.
• Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks when necessary.

Pay: £45,665.00 per year
