HGV Class 1 Driver

We are currently seeking a reliable HGV Driver (Class 1 or 2) to join our team on a full-time basis.

Role Overview:
You will be responsible for driving and operating an HGV vehicle, collecting waste (paper and cardboard) from company sites and delivering to designated tipping points. The role involves up to three drops per shift, with no handball required.

Working Hours:

• Start time: 5:00–7:00 AM
• 9–11 hours per day
• Full-time position

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive and operate HGV vehicle in line with tachograph regulations
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
• Complete all required paperwork in line with company and legal requirements
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any damage in accordance with company procedures
• Collect and transport recyclable waste (paper and cardboard) efficiently and safely

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 1 or 2 licence
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Good communication skills
• Positive, can-do attitud
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £17.50-£18.50 per hour
