HGV Class 2 Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle various types of cargo, including flatbed loads.

Duties

• Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
• Load and unload machinary, securing it properly for transport, completing paperwork as necessary.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork, including delivery receipts.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Ensure that all machinary is delivered on time and in excellent condition, providing exceptional customer service throughout the process.

Skills

• Proven experience as a with a valid HGV licence.
• Previous experience as a Driver is highly desirable.
• Plant experience required.
• Use of electronics fo delivery/collection paperwork.
• Strong driving skills with an emphasis on safety and adherence to regulations.
• Experience handling flatbed loads is advantageous.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
