HGV Class 2 Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating curtain-sided lorries to deliver goods across various locations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced commercial drivers to utilise their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. The ideal applicant will possess a strong driving record, a commitment to safety, and experience in delivery operations.

We have a role for most needs when it comes to driving roles, we offer HGV class 2 local CM & CO job opportunities delivering in the area using a taillight vehicle with electric assisted pump up trucks to make that job a little easier.

General HGV class 2 roles are available delivering across the country from local deliveries to nights away.

Moffett Class 2 more your thing, then we have a small fleet of specialised vehicles delivery around the country.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV Class 2 lorries in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
• Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries to clients and customers
• Secure loads properly on the vehicle to prevent movement during transit
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues promptly
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
• Communicate effectively with the transport office and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays
• Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations throughout all aspects of driving and loading/unloading procedures

Experience

• Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably
• Valid HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record
• Familiarity with road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving
• Experience in handling flatbed loads, including securing cargo safely during transit
• Knowledge of local routes and navigation systems is desirable but not essential
• Moffett licence an advantage

Pay: £33,800.00-£35,880.00 per year
