HGV Class 2 Driver

Class 2 HGV driver required for small family run, long established Dewsbury based business. Applicants must have clean Class 2 license and up to date driver card.

PPE is provided by the company and must be worn.

Working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Weekend overtime may be available.

Company pension & 4 weeks holidays plus Bank Holidays per annum (pro rata)

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with traffic regulations.
• Deliver goods & collect goods to/from various local locations while providing excellent customer service.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate any issues to management promptly.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures throughout all driving and delivery tasks.

Summary

Applicants required to primarily drive concrete mixers. You will be required to learn the batching process on our drum mixers, and our yard based batching plant. This role involves both the preparation, and delivery of loads. Additionally you will be required to collect stock on our tipper on rotation with the other drivers.

A knowledge of concrete and supplying to construction sites is an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given.

Quite a physical job, a level of fitness is required. Being part of a small team, you will be asked to contribute to the many and varied tasks at yard base. Competencies in managing basic paperwork is essential.

This job may become permanent after a 3 month probationary period.
