Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating rigid lorries to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV Class 2 rigid lorries in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals at customer locations
• Secure loads properly in the lorry to prevent movement during transit
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any faults or issues promptly
• Assist with loading and unloading goods as required, ensuring accuracy and care during handling
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in compliance with legal requirements
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
• Adhere to all health and safety standards throughout daily operations

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly as a delivery driver
• Valid HGV Class 2 licence with relevant driving experience
• Familiarity with flatbed vehicle operations and securing loads securely
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws within the UK
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently
• Good communication skills for liaising with team members and customers
• Ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines
• Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks when necessary
