HGV Class 2 Driver

Do you hold a valid Class 2 HGV Licence and looking for a new challenge?

Here at TradeChoice Carpet and Flooring we are looking for an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to support our busy warehouse helping to transport stock to our branches. You will be responsible for performing multi-drop deliveries safely, efficiently and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

· Oversee the loading and unloading of the HGV to ensure it is conducted correctly and safely.

· Conduct quality checks upon delivery and obtain customer signatures as proof of receipt.

· Maintain full compliance with tachograph legislation and relevant safety regulations.

· Keep the vehicle clean, well-maintained, and free from preventable damage.

· Report any accidents or incidents immediately, following company procedures.

· Complete and submit daily vehicle inspection sheets to the Operations Manager.

· Take proactive responsibility for vehicle servicing, MOT scheduling, and inspections.

· Provide assistance in the warehouse as needed.

Key skills

• Valid commercial driving licence (C) with a clean driving record.
• Valid Driver CPC
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
