HGV Class 2 Driver

Overview

SR Drivers are recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers for a leading manufacturing company based in Coventry (CV5). This role is consistent shifts Monday to Friday and No Weekend Work. It’s an ideal opportunity for drivers seeking reliability, progression, and a well‑organised operation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multi‑drop deliveries across England, Wales and parts of Scotland
• Complete 1–17 drops per day, depending on route and delivery schedule
• Handle both palletised and loose‑loaded goods safely and efficiently
• Load and unload the vehicle as required
• Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately and on time
• Plan start times in line with daily delivery routes and customer requirements
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered on the route
• Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures at all times

Requirements

• MUST have 2+ years’ proven HGV Class 2 driving experience
• Confident driving a manual rigid vehicle
• Good knowledge of road safety regulations and best driving practices
• Ability to handle physical tasks involved in loading and unloading cargo
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan efficient routes
• Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues
• Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings
