About us

Car Components Gosport Ltd is a small family run business business in Gosport, PO12 4UZ. Unlike other driving jobs, most of our collections are local to us within the SO and PO postal areas. Loading and other necessary training will be provided.

HGV Class 2 Driver

Responsibilities:

- Load and unload vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing.
- Plan routes and follow delivery schedules to ensure timely collections.
- Communicate with customers regarding collection status and any delays or issues that may arise
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the truck
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and invoices

Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as an HGV lorry driver
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to operate a variety of trucks, including manual transmission vehicles
- Strong communication skills and customer service-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina and strength to handle loading and unloading of vehicles

Pay: From £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 – 43.75 per week
