HGV Class 2 Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to and from various destinations, maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Experience with commercial driving is highly desirable. Responsibilities

• Operate 26ton curtain sided truck in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies.
• Plan routes efficiently to meet schedules while adhering to legal driving hours.
• Ensuring proper securing of cargo during transit.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel receipts, and vehicle maintenance logs.
• Communicate effectively with the transport office and clients at customers premises
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Experience

• Proven experience as a HGV driver, preferably with 26ton vehicles.
• Demonstrable knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK.
• Previous experience with HGV routes, including urban and rural areas.
• Familiarity with vehicle maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting is advantageous.
• A valid UK driving licence suitable for operating heavy goods vehicles (HGV) class 2
