HGV Class 2 Driver

Greenway are experts in the hazardous waste industry, handling a wide range of hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams, including corrosive liquids, paints and solvents, contaminated rags, oil sludge and filters, aerosols, oxidisers, WEEE and resins. Greenway operate a Total Waste Management division which offers a full-service solution from site visits and sampling to container supply and transportation. We currently have a vacancy for a HGV Class 2 driver at Greenway Environmental’s based at our site on Medway City Estate, Enterprise Close, Rochester.

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

• Ensuring full compliance with all current regulations concerning the transportation of hazardous waste materials.
• Delivery / Collection of waste materials to/from various locations around the UK.
• Some manual work will be required and occasional yard work.
• Hours of work will be as and when required in order to complete your duties in accordance with the legal requirements for an HGV driver with a minimum of 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
• A number of nights out per week may be required.
• Full compliance with high standards of health and safety regulations including PPE at all times.
• Complete all duties in a safe and responsible manner.
• Ensuring the daily walkaround safety inspection is completed, the results recorded and any defects reported to the Site Manager.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in any vehicle used, taking care of all equipment given

Must have Driver CPC

ADR licence preferred

20 Days holiday rising by one day each year after initial 2 complete years to a maximum of 25 days.

40 hours per week + overtime evenings/occasional weekends when available.
