HGV Class 2 Driver

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods across various locations. This role requires proficiency in commercial driving, with a focus on specialist deliveries. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Duties

• Operate lorries safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Secure loads properly using appropriate methods for transport.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods as necessary.

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 driving licence
• Valid CPC and driver card
• Proven experience as a delivery driver
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills for liaising with team members and clients.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy items when required.
• A commitment to maintaining a clean driving record.
• Nights out required- up to 4 nights per week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £13.01-£15.00 per hour
