HGV Class 2 Driver – NSD (Manchester)

Salary: £37,500
Shift: Days (Tuesday - Saturdays, Mondays-Fridays)

National Sameday (NSD), a trusted leader in express delivery services, is looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driver to join our Manchester team.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 HGV to transport goods across the UK.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring secure stowage for safe transit.
• Plan efficient routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance.
• Comply with all traffic laws, regulations, and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate delivery, mileage, and fuel usage records.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence (Category C) with a clean driving record.
• Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous HGV driving experience (sameday/express experience an advantage).
• Ability to drive long distances and work flexible hours.
• Strong time management, communication, and customer service skills.
• Commitment to safety and compliance.

Compliance Checks

As NSD is a CAA-regulated company, successful candidates must pass:

• A driver assessment.
• A Criminal Records Check (CRC).
• A full 5-year work history & reference check.
