HGV Driver Class 1

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Experience with flatbed and commercial driving is highly desirable, along with a strong commitment to customer service and adherence to road safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV and other commercial vehicles in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Safely load, secure, and unload cargo to prevent damage during transit.
• Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while complying with traffic laws.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs as required by company standards.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times and any unforeseen delays.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations at all times during operations.

Experience

• Proven experience as a HGV driver or commercial driver, preferable but not necessary.
• Demonstrable knowledge of driving regulations and safety procedures within the UK.
• Experience in handling cargo securely on flatbeds or similar vehicles is advantageous.
• Punctuality, reliability, and excellent customer service skills.
