HGV Driver class 1

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Driver Class 1 driver weekend availability as well and easy trunking job no loading and unloading to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various locations. Responsibilities

• Easy trunking yard to yard no loading and unloading involved
• can be flexible day and nights with flexible hours but can be discussed
• Operate lorries and other HGV vehicles in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
• Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any issues promptly
• Safely load, secure, and unload goods, ensuring the integrity of cargo during transit
• Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery schedules and minimise delays
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with legal requirements
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures throughout the journey and at delivery points
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any unforeseen issues

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record
• Minimum 1 year experience of hgv class 1 driving
• Proven experience in commercial driving
• Delivery driver experience is highly desirable
• Knowledge of road regulations and safety standards relevant to large vehicle operation
• Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively
• Strong communication skills and a professional attitude towards customer service
