We are currently hiring for the Huntsville Hospital Health System throughout North Alabama, with opportunities available at the following locations:

Huntsville Hospital – Main Campus | Huntsville, AL
Madison Hospital-Madison, AL
Decatur Morgan Hospital | Decatur, AL

This position requires four weeks of paid training. Training includes:

MOAB
OC Spray
AXON Taser
IAHSS Certification
Physical training each day

Training schedule is Monday through Friday, day shift (varies between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM and 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM). Training pay is $15.00/hour.

After training, you will be assigned a regular 40-hour schedule: Sunday-Wednesday OR Wednesday-Saturday, dayshift 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM OR nightshift 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM. Pay after training is $17.75/hour.

Job Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.
Perform general security duties to protect clients and property.
Promote safety by observing, correcting, and reporting hazards promptly.
Understand and comply with DSI and client requirements, including specific post instructions.
Participate in ongoing training and become familiar with general safety procedures and DSI’s safety manual.
Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public.
Perform routine foot patrols and moderate lifting as required.
Work in all weather conditions as needed.
Utilize basic to intermediate computer skills and demonstrate effective written and oral communication.

Requirements

At least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of three months experience in security, military, or law enforcement.
Ability to pass a background check including Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and drug screening.
Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and means of communication.
