- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans that meet learning objectives and language proficiency goals.
- Ensure lessons integrate reading, writing, speaking, and listening components effectively.
- Use appropriate teaching strategies to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
2. Assessment and Evaluation
- Design and administer formative and summative assessments as per IGCSE standards.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to students on assignments and tests.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and prepare grade reports.
- Prepare students for IGCSE English examinations through targeted practice and revision sessions.
3. Classroom Management
- Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Encourage student participation, creativity, and confidence in using English.
- Enforce school policies and promote discipline, punctuality, and respect.
4. Student Support
- Identify students needing additional academic or language support and provide remediation.
- Motivate and mentor students to develop a love for literature and language learning.
- Support students in developing critical thinking and analytical writing skills.
5. Professional Responsibilities
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan cross-curricular or co-curricular activities.
- Participate in school events, parent meetings, and open house sessions.
- Keep updated with developments in IGCSE English curriculum and teaching methodologies.
6. Resource Management
- Develop and update teaching resources such as worksheets, reading materials, and digital tools.
- Integrate technology (audio-visual aids, online platforms) to enhance learning outcomes.
7. Co-curricular Contributions
- Organize or assist in literary clubs, debates, drama, or creative writing competitions.
