Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated High School Level Tutor to inspire and support students across a variety of subjects, including Math, Spanish, English, and Science. Responsibilities
- Develop tailored lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and individual student goals in subjects such as Math, Spanish, English, and Science
- Use innovative learning technologies and teaching strategies to enhance comprehension and engagement
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to reinforce concepts in algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, organic chemistry, microbiology, genetics, anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, data structures, differential equations, statistics, discrete math, and other relevant topics
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively to ensure a positive learning environment for students of all ages and backgrounds
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional approaches accordingly
- Support students with special education needs or those requiring additional assistance in early childhood or preschool settings
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, student progress reports, and lesson plans
Skills
- Strong knowledge of high school-level Math (including algebra, geometry, calculus), Science (biology, chemistry, physics), and language arts (English and Spanish)
- Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to diverse learner needs
- Proficiency with learning technology tools and educational software to facilitate interactive lessons
- Excellent tutoring skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and patiently
- Classroom management skills to foster respectful and productive learning environments
- Computer skills necessary for creating digital resources and tracking student progress
- Experience working with children of various age groups as well as adult learners in higher education or adult education settings
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, microbiology, genetics, biochemistry, chemical engineering principles or related sciences is a plus
- Familiarity with special education strategies and early childhood education best practices
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for students with different learning styles or needs in both classroom experience and one-on-one settings
