Job Description:

The teacher for this role shall be responsible for educating students on advanced mathematical concepts including Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, and Statistics to prepare them for higher education and real - world applications. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, assessing student progress, and working with colleagues and parents to support student success.


Key duties and responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing lesson plans aligned with curriculum - school standards.
  • Delivering engaging instruction using various methods, and assessing student progress through assignments and exams.
  • Providing feedback and support to students, including preparing them for standardized summative-formative tests.
  • Maintaining a positive classroom environment and managing behavior.
  • Collaborating with colleagues, communicating with parents about student performance, and participating in school activities.
  • Staying current with educational trends and enhancing teaching practices.


Required qualifications and skills

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field is required.
  • Subject expertise: A deep understanding of high school math curricula, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus, is essential.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
  • Experience: Experience with teaching high school students is often preferred.
  • Interpersonal skills: Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and different abilities.
  • Organization: Strong organizational and time management skills for lesson planning, grading, and administrative tasks.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency with educational technology, and problem-solving abilities.
